Nawazuddin Siddique and Bhumi Pednekar’s latest political thriller “Afwaah” directed by Sudhir Mishra has released this week on big screens. The film revolves around the consequences and chaos which are given birth to after a rumour hits the wall of streets, near to elections. The movie keeps your minds engaged in it throughout, while also throwing light on reality, and how a rumour could turn be hazardous in many aspects.
One thing I realised upon the screening is that, it is clearly a content driven film and not a one for the masses. The consequences and scenarios enacted in the feature is delivered to the audience with right intentions.
Credits for the show, must be given to its brilliant storyline and performances. The main five leads were brilliant in their portrayals, but special appreciation to sumeet vyas for his character of a politician.
Being an original, Afwaah also marks up high points for its rooted yet bold story. Apart from the positives, major flaw of the film lies with the lethargic screenplay, the film is brilliant in its first half an hour and then goes on lack lustre hiatus until last 30 minutes of a brilliant climax and pre-climax.
Afwaah is a film which should be in the watchlist for the week, for the solid content it delivers.

An extremely relevant and bold film. Truly mystifying how it made it past the censor board and you don't need to look very far for its topicality since the other Hindi film released on the same day deals with the problems Afwaah calls out - the toxic it cell spreading baseless rumours, maligning entire states and religions, twisting facts to suit the fuhrer and so on. Kudos to Sudhir Mishra and everyone associated with this film for making this.
Do watch this and support good cinema instead of substandard tr*sh made by it cell bigots masquerading as filmmakers.

Watched AFWAAH
Directed by maverick filmmaker Sudhir Mishra, the story follows Rahab played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, a top advertising professional and Nivi, played by Bhumi Pednekar, a political heiress who finds no place to hide as she Social media networks get entangled in a rumor rumor. See how a "rumor" changes the course of their lives.
The performances in the film are exceptional. The pace is excellent, keeping the audience engaged and invested in the story from start to finish. It is a poignant reminder that everything you see and
hear isn't always the truth, especially on social media!

So much secularism in one movie... this movie is directed by Sudhir Mishra who is well known Actor however, it is produced by the Great Secular Anubhav Sinha.
And if the movie is produced by Anubhav Singha and there is no Secularism, how this will happened.
He has always shows the same narrative in every movie. Muslim people are loving this Fictional story because they like to live in Fictional way. But they are showing their hate to The Kashmir files which is a true Story.
Well done..! that shows your capability of choosimg movie. I was suppose to give 0 Star but there is no option hence giving 1 star.

Sudhir Mishra's Afwaah does not sit on the fence despite dealing with a socio-politically charged topic. But the film's characters sway between varying shades of gray, black, and white. Fairly thrilling watch, although it could have done better with its editing and characters.
Enjoyed the last show in the theatres although the film certainly deserves more days at the theaters.
Highly recommend to anyone who prefers watching films that speak volumes about the current state of affairs in the country.

A socially relevant movie, it is also has quite a tight storyline - gripping stuff. The relevance of the movie couldn't have been starker, juxtaposed against the competing movie released on the same day. Kudos to Sudhir Mishra and team (including Armaan Singh Dhillon) for responsible film making. It is now up to the audience to ensure responsible content consumption, and ensure that such movies are successful and are continued to be made.

A must watch for people who wish to remain sane and rational in this lopsided world... The scene where the local police opens the truck and donkeys walk out is an excellent analogy of how humans can behave in groups...completely brainwashed...
